Multi-module leadership development and business improvement journey

‘Multi-modular’ has become the preferred programme delivery format for many of our clients as it’s proved to be highly effective in delivering the dual objectives of leadership development and business value. We have run versions of multi-modular programmes since 2001 across Europe, North America and Asia-Pac.

Every programme is built on our proven content and delivery approach and we regularly update content to take into account the latest research and areas of leadership focus. But every programme is also tailored to reflect the unique context and learning goals of the client we are working with. This combination of our experience, an eye to the latest research and tailoring to client context ensures the delegates have the benefit of a coherent and relevant learning experience.

An example multi-modular business and leadership development journey: “Making a Difference” (MAD) – A business journey and a leadership journey over 9 months for 12 participants.

The following example is aimed at high potential mid-level managers in a multi-division, multi-site manufacturing company supplying components to complex organisations in highly competitive marketplaces. With this context, this programme specifically includes content to help delegates work effectively with ‘at a distance’ colleagues and spends time on ‘knowing clients needs’ better than competitors.

Below we’ve provided more detail of the content and stakeholders at each stage in the journey. We’ve provided this to give a sense of both the thinking that goes into programme development and the attention that goes into creating great delegate experiences through programme design.

Flexible Programme Structure

Programme delivery

Kick off meeting

Module One (three days off-site)

Internal session led by project sponsor: Embed learning and review project progress

Module Two (three days offsite)

Two further internal sessions led by project sponsor: Embed learning and review project progress

Programme Graduation (nine months after launch)

Morning (attended by participants)

Afternoon (participants joined by sponsors, managers, programme alumni and members of senior leadership team)

Post graduation activity

Post graduation, the learning journey continues as projects are continued and through alumni communications and regular refresher activities. In these, models and behaviours learned in the programme are discussed and ‘re-taught’ by alumni.

The above example summarises just one execution of our multi-modular leadership and business improvement journey.
